Keith Lacy - founder of Ordinary Introvert

I’m Keith Lacy

Founder of Ordinary Introvert. Former agency CEO. Introvert who figured it out later than he would have liked.

For most of my career, I performed extroversion. Not badly. By my mid-40s I was Managing Director of a large advertising agency, leading teams of around 200 people and working with some of the biggest brands in the world. I was good at the job.

But I came home from every networking event, every client dinner, every all-hands meeting quietly exhausted in a way I couldn’t fully explain. I assumed that was just the cost of ambition.

It took until my mid-40s to understand I was an introvert. Not because introversion is a diagnosis or a limitation, but because the moment I understood it, I could finally see myself clearly. The exhaustion made sense. The way I did my best thinking alone made sense. The parts of the job I genuinely loved, and the parts that slowly wore me down, all made sense.

I started Ordinary Introvert because I wished someone had given me that clarity sooner. Not to change what I did, but to understand why I felt the way I did, and to build a life that actually fit.

My Mission

To give introverts a thoughtful, encouraging space to explore who they are, embrace their strengths, and build a life that feels true to them, without pretending to be someone they’re not.

Why “Ordinary Introvert”?

Because you don’t have to be extraordinary to be worthy of a full, meaningful life. Being an introvert isn’t about labels or limitations, it’s about recognising your nature and living in a way that works for you. Introverts are just ordinary people. Ordinary is more than enough.
